DELHI HURRICANES AFTER THE NORTH INDIA
RUGBY PROMOTION 2012
We went with our Bulls team to the Indian 2nd division Tournament, the Callaghan Cup in Bhubaneswar -Orissa-, where 8 team (instead of 12) came to battle to grab one of the 3 first positions to access the 1st division.
So the 1st game (quarter of final) was very important knowing that 3 out of 4 semi finalist team was goind to reach uppur division. We had the hardest game to play as we played the home team Bhubaneswar for the 1st game.
However our team was young and unexperienced, they play with heart and give everything for this game. Unfortunatly, we miss this little something to make the difference against a very motivated team and we lost 10-7.
We lost so the possibility to access 1st division, but we are still in to win the Plate. Our semi-final has been against Kerala team, an aggresive but young team.
We won 45-0 and reach the Plate final against Y.R.C. and logically won 54-0.
Guys improved and took a lot of experience during all the tournament and had the level to reach 1st division with an easier draw.
Congratulation to them and next year will be the good time!
